Teresa Zine

"She let me into her life like no other and it's been a hellova journey. One that i'll never forget and one I'm eternally grateful for. There are photos from the day we met in 2012, up until a month ago. It's been made as a scrapbook with prints taped in, captions, dates, drawings and stories. Without giving it all away, this is an ode to my warmhearted and beautiful best friend Teresa Hana Oman." -Ryan Kenny

In the lead up to the release of photographer, Ryan Kenny's zine, "Teresa" featuring model Teresa Oman, we had the pair ask each other a few candid questions, share some exclusive outtakes from the project, and give us a first look at a selection of pages from the zine. "Teresa" the first in a series Ryan will be making called "Love Ballads", will be released today.

Ryan: First off, thank you for doing this. Your percentage of the profit just went up! So, we first met in a white Toyota Torago, March 2012, what was the first thing you thought? Teresa: You were wearing purple; my least favorite shade of purple. I thought about how much I dislike the color purple.

Teresa: When did you realize we were going to be real friends? Ryan: I guess when you invited me to come live in a house with your best friends after knowing me for only two weeks. Luckily, I'm a harmless creep.

Ryan: What is something people don't know about me? Teresa: That you aren't shy to unleash your alter (feminine) ego,'Miss Honey'. Also, that you're actually a pretty darn talented musician.

Teresa: What is something most people don't know about ME? Ryan: That you used to sing on stage with Kasey Chambers when you were little. 'Am I Not Pretty Enough', that would have been hectic; wish I was there.

Ryan: What kind of kid do you reckon I was in high school? Teresa: The kid that everyone hated because they secretly wanted to be you.

Teresa: What's the strangest thing you've seen me do? Ryan: Maybe not the strangest, but watching you make pudding in a cup using the microwave the other night was pretty next level. Also, I guess no one will ever forget 'Plate Smashing', the hit of 2013. You do a lot of weird shit.

Ryan: What's the strangest thing you've seen me do? Teresa: I remember opening my laptop back in 2012 and finding a video of you in a fancy pair of knickers doing a pretty bloody good solo cover of Usher's 'There Goes My Baby'.

Teresa: If I was stranded on an island, what would I need? Ryan: A weekly delivery of 'Famous' and 'New Idea' magazines; for the 'crosswords'.

Ryan: You never answer this question so I feel this is the perfect time, what haircut should I get? Teresa: I think you should grow it out and cut it into a fancy little bob, then dye it electric blue.

Teresa: What will people think when they look at the zine? Ryan: I want them to think ' wow, he's obsessed with her!'. Yeah, they'll probably just think 'wow, he's obsessed with her'.

Ryan: What do you think of the zine? Teresa: I think it's really cool to have something to remember all the good times! I hope people aren't shocked by the 'real me' ha ha.
